WELCOME

Whether you’re new to church or have been part of one for 20 years, we’re glad you found us. We realize that the vast majority of people don’t attend church, so we’re committed to being a church that people love to attend. Ask your questions, share your views, and get connected.

WHEN: We meet every Sunday at 10am (From Oct 3rd 9.30am)

WHERE: Grosvenor Church, Old Station Road, Barnstaple, EX32 8PB

WHAT TO EXPECT

HOW TO FIND US

In-person services at 10.00am in the church building will take place every Sunday. We meet at Old Station Road, EX32 8pB, near Mcdonalds. There is lots of parking available and our friendly welcome team will greet you at the door and point you in the right direction.

A recording of the in-person service will be posted on our YouTube channel after 6pm Monday.

OCTOBER: CELEBRATION SUNDAYS

We are really excited to introduce a new structure and times to our services.

The Sunday services will be called ‘CELEBRATIONS’. It is a time to celebrate what God has been doing. Celebration is based on Acts 2:42. “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (NIV).

It will be starting with prayer. The Elders would like to invite you to join them from 8:45 to 9:15 am for prayer.

It is just one service but split into two parts:
. 9:30 to 10:00 – Communion (the breaking of bread);
. 10:00 to 10:30 – Coffee break (fellowship);
. 10:30 to 11:30 – Worship, preaching (Apostles teaching) and prayer ministry;
. 11:30 – coffee and tea.

The new celebration format will start on 3rd October 2021 as an experiment until Christmas, when it will be reviewed.  Our hearts are full of expectations on what God will be doing amongst us.

Thank you very much for your prayers and support.

Ramon Bruzzichessi on behalf of the Barnstaple Elders

BEFORE THE SERVICE

All services in our COVID-safe Main Hall at Old Station Road EX32 8PB.

We are in a changing situation, so please bear with us if we don’t get everything right immediately, or find we need to change things again. Wearing masks is a matter for each individual to decide.

We will be singing, either with or without a mask. To help provide for everyone an area of seating will be reserved at the back for those who wish to wear masks, and at the front for those who do not wish to wear masks. Our reasoning is that people singing or speaking without masks are mostly likely to spread germs forwards, so those wearing masks are safer behind the non-mask wearers rather than in front of them. (Research has shown that wearing a mask while singing reduces transmission of germs by over 80%.)

There are sanitising stations at a number of places around the building, please do make use of them.

It would be appreciated if you could wear a mask while using the toilets, which are smaller spaces.

If you test positive for Covid 19 at any time during the week before the service please do not come to the Sunday service, even if you have not shown any symptoms of Covid.

FAMILIES AND CHILDREN

Families and Children are a very important part of Grosvenor Barnstaple. We want them to encounter Jesus, learn more about Him but also have so much fun.

As is our usual practice from September there will be organised children’s activities on Sundays. From October, the children’s activities will be from 10.30-11.30am.

EXPLORE LIFE, FAITH AND MEANING

Alpha is a multi-week course that creates a space where people come and discuss life’s big questions and explore the Christian faith in a fun, non-pressurised environment. Try Alpha at Grosvenor Barnstaple.
